So I started collecting vinyl records again and searched online for hours, to find advice on outer sleeves. The name Packlinq came up in several threads and when I saw the price I had to order. I chose 12" in standard and gatefold sizes, 10" for the shellacs and 7" to cover(!) all my needs. Payment and processing of the order went fine and then I just had to wait for delivery. I tracked the order for days and it seemed to be stuck somewhere in transit. I contacted Packlinq customer service and was treated like royalty by the service agent. He managed to turn a bad experience into a great one. Since the shipping company did not do their job, another shipment was arranged by the service representative, and this time it arrived quickly. This level of service is fantastic!
Quality - The sleeves are outstanding. The clarity and shininess makes even the old and damaged record sleeves in my collection look almost new. The blank surface makes it easy to slip records in and out of the shelves, while still giving good grip on your fingertips. Some online comments mentioned that this type of plastic sleeves are prone to seam splits but not on these. Out of 400 sleeves I've had one single seam split.
So in conclusion - quality and price is the best I've found so far. Customer service is hands down unbeatable. I'm placing my second order after completing this review.

the 7 inch sleeves fit around 99% of the singles and give them a beautiful glass and provide protection. especially handy if the paper sleeve has cracks or almost falls apart!

All 7" records with Picture on Cover fit perfectly and look amazing. Unfortunatley most of my 1000 7" singles have company sleeves and fit in these sleeves "perfecty" only with record exit facing up, which means to listen to a song I have to take out cover from the sleeve and when finished put cover back in sleeve. A bit of a hassle. If you are lucky to have your 7" single collection all with Picture on Cover this product is GREAT!

I have replaced all of my old 7" sleeves with these new sleeves. You feel you are holding a new record....even if it is an old one. I think they excellent. Any double 7" sets or slightly thicker than normal sleeves might be a bit tight, but for the every day standard 7" record, these are perfect.

These 'Blake' sleeves are a safer (and lower priced) solution for protecting singles and LPs collections. A 'Blake' sleeve is not the same as a PVC sleeve. Please note that PVC sleeves are well known for causing permanant damage to vinyl - especially if the vinyl has been cleaned with record cleaners containing isopropyl alcohol (sad to say I've fallen victim to this before I was aware of the risk).

'Blake' sleeves look and feel absolutely fantastic and are a much cheaper option and much safer for cover protection in the long-term (Japanese LP pressings have for many years been supplied in similar sleeves to these 'Blake' sleeves). I've used all variations of these 'Blake' sleeves and have found the 'no flap' version more practical for singles when stored with cover opening at top. If you store your LPs in shelves (cover opening on the side) then I would advise using the 'flap' version (unless storing standard 12 inch singles with cover opening at top). The flap is easily re-sealable many many times before it loses its re-sealability and the adhesive strip isn't on the flap (so it won't stick to the record cover when placing in or removing from the 'Blake' sleeve).

The 'double LP' sleeves are just a little larger that the regular LP ones (please note: these 'double' sleeves are not gatefold sleeves but are large enough to hold a closed gatefold double LP (or tripple LP) and LPs with larger covers). Some single LPs fit better in these slightly larger 'double LP' sleeves. Most LPs fit neatly in the standard sized sleeves.

I would strongly advise all collectors with PVC sleeves to bin them (before it's too late) - get these 'Blake' sleeves instead. The cost of the 'Blake' sleeves is a lot less than replacing a damaged record collection.

7 inches counterpart of the 12" Blake sleeves...thin but tough, crystal clear sleeves..they seem very durable...and also great price! Indispensable accessory for your 45s!
